Acura Wraps Around Sundance

   Dec. 21, 2012--Acura, the upscale Honda car brand, sponsors the Sundance Film Festival next month for the third time and has a tie-in promotion for a documentary about rock band The Eagles.
   In announcing the promotion Dec. 20, Acura launched a sweepstake with first prize VIP attendance to the Sundance fest connected to History of the Eagles: Part One.
   “This year our roots grew deeper collaborating with the Eagles on an integrated campaign that includes hosting the world premiere of their documentary, a luxury sweepstakes to attend the festival hosted on Acura's Facebook page and an Eagles' guitar auction that will raise money for a local charity,” Mike Accavitti, vice president of marketing operations, says in a press release.
   Film festivals are magnets for sponsors that find many fests attract upscale audiences. The Sundance Film Festival Jan 17-27 in Park City, UT is the top fest for indie films in the United States.
