WILL SMITH will be immortalized at one of Hollywood's most famous landmarks when he places his hands and feet in cement in the forecourt of the world-famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

I AM LEGEND will be released nationwide on December 14, 2007.

The film will distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell plant their imprints at Grauman’s in 1953, as photographers snap pictures published around the world. Their appearance promoted  Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Note from author Robert Marich. Grauman's Chinese Theatre – designed in an elaborate Oriental motif --  opened in May 1927 in the center of Hollywood, just as the silent film era ended. In publicity stunts that began immediately, movie stars would leave their hand and shoe imprints in concrete squares in the theater’s courtyard. Over the years, these stars included John Wayne, Betty Grable, Steve McQueen, Groucho Marx, Eddie Murphy, Brad Pitt and Clint Eastwood, with Will Smith soon to join the pantheon.
